Maui Tropical Plantation - See this 60-acre working plantation and marketplace on a narrated tram tour. Visit the country store and Plantation Cafe.

Homegrown Goodness- Don’t know a mango from a papaya? Is an apple banana a cross between the two fruits? Find out at Maui Tropical Plantation. It’s centrally located in Waikapu on Highway 30. In an ideal spot, the plantation has the West Maui Mountains as its backdrop.

This 60-acre, working plantation grows a cornucopia of fruits and flowers. See what’s in the ground on a narrated, 40-minute tram tour. Passengers learn about Hawaii’s many ag products, including Maui’s thriving pineapple and sugar cane industries. Tours depart every 45 minutes, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. daily, fee.

The plantation’s marketplace has a large selection of official Made-on-Maui products. There are lots of edible goodies like Maui onions, Maui Potato Chips, pineapple jelly, and mango tea. Lunch is served 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. in The Plantation Cafe, including juicy fresh fruit smoothies. Pineapple cutting demos are 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m daily. Admission to the grounds is free, open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, 244-7643.
