Princeville

Princeville - Overlooking Bali Hai vistas—dine, golf and visit scenic resorts.

Just outside Princeville on Highway 56 is the spectacular Hanalei Valley Lookout. A sign explains the unique partnership between farmers and the Hanalei National Wildlife Sanctuary. A majority of the state’s taro that’s used to make poi, grows here.

More magnificent vistas await you in Princeville, a planned resort community that sits on a bluff overlooking Hanalei Bay. Find it just south of the lookout. You’ll think you’re on the set of “South Pacific” when you dine at Princeville’s Bali Hai Restaurant at the Hanalei Bay Resort. Sweeping views of the North Shore and Hanalei Bay spread before you.

SECRET SPOTS/HIDEAWAYS:
It’s a 10-min. hike to this tiny summer beach. Turn right at tennis courts just before the Princeville Hotel gate house.

QUEEN’S BATH:
Take the trail at the end of Kapiolani Rd. to a lava shelf with a natural pool open to the ocean. It’s on the left. Don’t go during high surf; be safe.
